The brief

Trading cards for Faroe Islands men’s and women’s football leagues in 2018, 2020, and 2024.

Approach

A focused branding and design system built to rival high end trading cards. The project(s) called for over 500 individual card designs ranging from standard player cards, gold and silver cards, as well as specialty cards unique to each club. Each edition of Fótbóltskort has had a unique design theme. Tasks that these projects have required include:

• Designing themed backgrounds for each team and specialty card

• Compiling data for each player (name, position, club, ratings, stats, nationality)

• Isolating player images from the background and editing the photographs

• Running a system to match player names, photos and stats

• Designing card packaging

• Designing folder covers

• Designing marking materials

Each edition of Fótbóltskort has been a great success and performed above expectations.
